changing root password

This is a discussion about changing root password in the Everything Linux category; hi everyone i am just wanting to know how to change my root password i have the correct passwprd i want but i had capslock and its just a pain in the. . . . . to keep pressing it all the time !!! Thanks Matthew.

All you need to do is open a terminal, and type "su" to become root, then type "passwd" and it will prompt you for a new password.
