BuildStream 1.2.0 has been released
Welcome to the shiney new 1.2 release. With 1.2, all plugin APIs, CLIBuildStream 1.2.0 released
APIs and YAML default configurations shipped with BuildStream are
frozen for the rest of the cycle.
There are still some issues to iron out with performance and cleanup of
the new CAS based artifact cache, which I expect will be fixed in the
comming micro point releases in 1.2.x.
What is BuildStream ?
=====================
BuildStream is a Free Software tool for building/integrating software
stacks. It takes inspiration, lessons and use-cases from various
projects including OBS, Reproducible Builds, Yocto, Baserock,
Buildroot, Aboriginal, GNOME Continuous, JHBuild, Flatpak Builder and
Android repo.
BuildStream supports multiple build-systems (e.g. autotools, cmake,
distutils, make, meson), and can create outputs in a range of formats
(e.g. debian packages, flatpak runtimes, sysroots, system images) for
multiple platforms and chipsets.
