GNOME 3.30.1 has been released

GNOME 3.30.1 is now available. This is a stable release containing three weeks' worth of good bugfixes since the 3.30.0 release. Since it only contains bugfixes, all distributions shipping 3.30.0 should upgrade.

If you want to compile GNOME 3.30.1, you can use the official BuildStream project snapshot:

The list of updated modules and changes is available here:

https://download.gnome.org/core/3.30/3.30.1/NEWS

(Don't mind the bit about removed modules: that's just a matter of which software gets its releases features in this NEWS file. I removed two that are not hosted on GNOME infrastructure.)

The source packages are available here:

One hiccup: please beware that a GNOME Shell update is not included in this release. There were a rather lot of crashes and other regressions in 3.30.0 that are not yet fixed in this release, so all distributions are encouraged to apply the first twelve patches listed here for the time being:

Other than that, it should be smooth sailing.

Enjoy the new release,
