Mandriva 2006 and nvidia geforce4 MX 440 with AGP8X

Greetings, I am a new Linux user and have run into a problem getting my nvidia geforce4 MX 440 with AGP8X to work. I have no clue at all on how to configure anything from the console. I have read several articles on the problems with Nvidia card drivers and Linux.

Fedora Core 4 Sata Drives???? (FC4 installed

I have FC4 installed onto an EIDE 40gb WD drive running on a dell optiplex gx280. I can connect and see my external hard drive, but i can see neither of my two sata ntfs formatted hard drives that are connected to the comptuer.

Sound problem on SuSE 9.3

I have an IBM T40 laptop with an Intel8x2 Soundcard. After a fresh install of SuSE 9. 3 everything worked. I updated the wireless card from Intel2100B to a Intel2200BG. Suddenly I have now sound. I have checked and rechecked and everything seems to be ok.

Grub not playing nice nice...

Ok, here's the problem. . . Running FC4, latest distro, on my primary master, primary slave is my storage drive, secondary master is my dvd rom, and secondary slave is windows xp. Problem being, grub does not want to play nice with the windows boot.

I recently tried (several times) to install Fedora Core 4 on my machine. I downloaded the fc4-i386-disc1-4. iso. I used K3b to burn them, I did select New data Project>tools>CD>Burn iso Image.
