Dwl-520 D-link wireless card need help?

Hi anyone can help me im very new to linux i installed fedora 4 and i dont know how to add drivers in to linux so it reconizes my dwl-520 rev -b card i read alot of things about it but it dont make since to me so if you can help how to edit the config file please let me know thanks romanticnick4eva@hotmail.

Hi. . i want to ask that I have installed FC5 as slave disk in a partition and GRUB is in MBR which is on XP master. Now i m going to delete away FC5 totally , including the GRUB in XP. How i m going to do that?.

Moving FC5 from one PC to another PC

I currently have 2 drives, primary has XP, slave has FC. . . Ihave GRUB installed on the primary (xp) drive MBR. Now, i want to move FC drive to another PC which has a primary drive running on XP. What should i do on the new PC which i going to add in the new PC's primary drive? Grub ? Thanks.

Cannot connect to the internet

I am running a dual boot machine using windows xp and i just installed ubuntu 6. 06. I am connecting to the internet with a usb. On windows i used the cd i received from my interent provider, When i use the internet with windows, everything is ok, but i do not know where to go and how to connect using ubuntu.

Help connecting Linksys BEFCMU10 USB modem (debian sarge)

I have an old box with no ethernet, just usb. my cable modem supports usb connections, a Linksys BEFCMU10 ver3. When i boot up tahe system recognizes it because i see it print Linksys USB. . . . . on the screen.

Hi Phillip, Just wondering if you've ever considered setting up just to complete the set? I'm sure there are some people with fingers in both pies who'd be keen on it. Especially since you can run it off the same server as NT and Linux.

Hi, I am a newbie to Linux trying to move away from WinXP to Suse 10. 1. Most of my system is working except for the most important part - my network. I use the ASUS P5PL2 motherboard with an integrated Realtek ethernet controller and this works fine on WinXP.

Trying to install FC5 on an USB HD to dual boot from a laptop with WinXP

Hello everybody I am trying to get this working but can not. I have a laptop with Windows Xp and installed FC5 on a USB HD to dual boot, when it restarted nothing happened it whent straight to windows,so tried to install it again but now all I get is GRUB Hard Disk Error can not use Windows nor FC5.

More Dual Booting Issues with Fedora Core 5 and Xp

So I'm at a loss. I've read through the posts, tried a couple things suggested. . . and now nothing boots. I've got a homebrew desktop, not a Dell or Compaq or any of that. Dunno what the motherboard is, but here's some of the specs: Pentium III, 866 MHz Pri.

Removing GRUB Entries

Hello, everytime I update my Ubuntu kernel, another entry is created on GRUB. How should I go about removing some entries? I think I can edit the menu. lst file and remove them, but I want to make sure I do it right.

Hello, I recently just downloaded the DVD ISO for Fedora Core 5 and installed it with the intention of dual booting. However when I boot up it just goes to XP. And I think I know why: I installed it to a partition on my D Drive and not C.

how to install sis 760 drivers!

hi i wanted to change to Sis drivers for red hat linux 9. its showing VESA type and memory 16 mb only. the screen resolution wont change from 800x600. igoogled and found that sis doesnt make drivers for linux.

hi (first post), I'm trying to set up a home file server running fc5 and am having alot of trouble getting grub into the correct place. Basically the machine as setup sees nothing in the mbr despite my attempts and never boots past bios.
