Model D522 works fine on current 64 bit Arch Linux (broadcom-wl dkms driver is required for WiFi) using kernel 5.19.5
Laptop does run very hot (radeon driver does not do well on power management on C50 GPU, and cooling fan now only produces a hint of airflow)
Laptop is also extremely slow, but given it is an 11 year old netbook, everything it does is better than expected.
Most laptops built around the same time will have stopped working completely, so it now can finally beat most of them on performance.

Ubuntu Linux 10.04 is running great on the Acer Aspire One netbook. All working including WiFi, battery status, audio, video, sleep, etc.
