P4 3GHz/ 1GB RAM/ 160GB SATA. Works great with Ubuntu 5.04 using SATA in Normal Mode.
Debian 3.1 (unstable) requires SATA in Compatibility mode.
Fedora Core 3 doesnt detect USB keyboards - and there is no PS/2 port.
AVOID US Robotics Wireless Cards if dual booting with Windows XP SP2 - as BSoD's on shutdown.
Don't delete the two small partitions that come with the system. You can set up GRUB to boot them quite easily - and have MS Windows XP Activation Settings on them - so best keep.

Work under Debian/Woody.
- only in vesa mode
- don't work with SATA harddisk (BIOS must be modified -> "compatibility mode"). Maybe the reason of the unsuccessful install by Gnome06 ?
- some applications, strangely, don't work (sylpheed, kmail) but Evolution works.

Work with Mandrake 10.1 Official :
- The x300 ATI work only in VESA mode. The ATI drivers should work.
- Multimedia keyboard work, but not the multimedia key.
- Sometime at the boot the usb keybord is not recognized
Don't work with UBUNTU 4.10:
- I Have spend a lot of time to try to install it without any succes. Strange, because the liveCD work well
