I installed this on my Mandrake 9.2 system. Mandrake 9.2 does not provide out of the box support for this device. It is an ADMTek 8211 chipset product. I downloaded the ADMTek kernel driver 1.05, symlinked my kernel source to /usr/src/linux-2.4 and compiled the module without modification to the makefile. It worked first time with an insmod 8211.o
It is configurable with iwconfig eth0 ... The only thing to note is that the last iwconfig command should always be the
essid. Apparently subsequent iwconfig non-essid settings do not take until another essid command is given.
I am running it perfectly with 128bit WEP encryption using infrastructure mode.
