Yet another generic Taiwanese network card. this one doesn't even have an FCC ID, which makes it illegal to sell in the US, but these strip-mall PC builders don't care. The chip set is the Lucent/Agere HERMES I. Same thing you'd find in an Oronoco Silver. But having an unknown device name, the hotplug and udevd deamons don't recognize it and run your ifup scripts. So you don't get that slick just slide it in and you're on the net behavior. The stock Debian kernel recognizes it and loads the driver, but then you have to invoke the DHCP client yourself.
