I plugged it into the USB socket of my PC and was immediately recognized. The /etc/fstab was updated automatically and I could mount the device thereafter. Once mounted you can access, from the mount point, the camera's memory card at light's speed, to view and copy all the photos.
Test done on SuSE 8.0.
