I can(!) mount the original Nokia sd card (64MB).
Using a new Platinum 2GB mini SD card, it works fine when formatting with the phone and using the standard mode with Nokia PC Suite under windows.
Using data storage mode, I cannot mount the new card either (as told the nokia card works fine), regardless if I format it with windows or linux (with mkfs.vfat or mkfs.msdos exactly as the orignal one (file system on /dev/sda, no further partion). I always get the "can't read the superblock" message when trying to mount it.

Hi,
on Debian/etch, kernel 2.6.18-4, I've been unable to mount the SD card, maybe because both my PCs are SATA.
anyway neither mount -t vfat /dev/sdb /media/nokia nor mount -t vfat /dev/sdb1 /media/nokia work.

The mini SD card can be accessed via the USB cable that comes with the phone. It's not /dev/sda1 like a USB key, but /dev/sda. I'm having a hard time mounting it read/write as a non privileged user, but it should be possible by configuring udev properly. No problem as root. The internal memory of the phone does not show up.
