Doensn't work under Linux!! Plus, this card basically sucks anyways, even if your running any version of Windows or any other os. Buy Cisco or NetGear!

I DO NOT recommend buying this card, for Windows or Linux, no matter how cheap it is. The Orinoco_pci driver works on my Mandrake 9.1 Dell P4. Catch: You cannot access the router start page, and the card seems to connect and disconnect at random intervals. Sometimes it is on for months, sometimes just for seconds. I'm not sure if I have version 1 or 2. Siemens now offers badly written installation instructions for linux, but I can't even tell what distribution they assume your are using. Drated thing went out again while I was typing. It seems to do worse in the spring.

Does not work under Mandrake 9.1 or Lindows 4.0 - however it is at least detected under Mandrake - it simply doesn't work. It doesn't work AT ALL in Lindows OS 4.0 - and on Mandrake 9.1 it will in fact contact remote servers, etc. but after two or three seconds it almost immediately loses signal and stops transmitting, throughput is so low its unusable (think a 300 baud modem vs. a cable connection). No support or drivers for Linux are even found on their site: www.speedstream.com
