Notebook was optioned with PIII700, 192Mb RAM and 12Gb HDD. Also has Xircom PCMCIA 10/100 ethernet.
I installed Fedora RC1 on this notebook in a dual-boot with Win2K. Everything that I am interested in worked perfectly. Sound, network, video/graphics, mouse everything. The only thing that I haven't tested is the winmodem, as it is connected to a network and I have no need of a modem. I understand that there are some issues with winmodems so this may be a problem, although several people have got them working under Linux. See the winmodem HOWTO at www.tldp.org, or buy an external modem!
BTW, I had some major problems getting Win2K to work with everything and had to download drivers for nearly all devices from the Toshiba web site and reboot many times.
Linux wins hands-down!
