Cannot connect to the internet in linux mandrake 10.0!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

hello, i have just installed mandrake 10. 0 and i want to connect to the interent but i cant. one thing is that i cant get the drivers but i heard there is another way to it. i got a Bt voyager 105 (adsl modem) which is a usb.

This appears not to be an easy task. Look at This post
 
Looks like recompiling the kernel with the patch may be necessary in order to enable USB recognition of this modem.
 
Sorry I can't be of more help. Maybe someone has an idea, since this will bump the post to the top.
