If I install Linux and find I like it better than windows(Im sure I will because Windows blows), should I just delete the windows partition? Or would I have to delete all the partitions, reformat, and then install Linux to the whole hard drive.

If I install Linux and find I like it better than windows(Im sure I will because Windows blows), should I just delete the windows partition? Or would I have to delete all the partitions, reformat, and then install Linux to the whole hard drive. Only reason I would delete Windows is because even though I have 120 gigs between my two hard drives, I still get annoyed when I take up alot of space for no reason. I just wanna know if I have to format both drives and erase all my crap because it might have some windows shit on it. My second hard drive is just games and music..I don't really want to format it but if I have to then oh well.

Not sure exactly what you are asking but i'm gonna go off what I think you are. First, you don't have to delete all the partitons to install linux, you just need some root for the linux partition(s). As for once you get in linux, and lets say you do decide to delete your windwos partition for space, you will not have to reinstall all linux, you can just have that partition mounted as /storage (or whatever you want it called). I noticed you said your second hd is just games/music. Linux is not very good for gaming(at least in my opinion) since most games are made for the windows os. You might want to think about dual booting. This is where you can choose if you want to boot into linux or windows. That way you can always be in linux unless you are gaming in windows. There are linux games though, so maybe you can look into those if you really wanna get totally away from windows.

It's not neccesary to delete all ur Windows partitions to install Linux. why not configure a dual-boot system? At least windows will be there if a sudden need arises.
