Hi folk!

I am quite new to Linux but I really want to learn and to have things work fine.

I am running Mandrake 9.2 and having some problems with the Internet proxy which the LAN I am connected uses.

Let me explain it in more detail.

I am in university and my Ethernet cards works properly. I mean, I have set proxy on Konqueror settings and it does connect to the proxy server and so I can enjoy the internet. :x

I also configured the proxy (http Proxy) in Mandrake general settings.

Thing is: I can not get mail form my yahoo and others email account, just from the university mail server (for which proxy is not needed).

It seems that the email client (I have tried Kmail and Evolution and Thunderbird - all gave the same error) can not get to the proxy server and fetch emails.

How can I tell email clients to use the proxy server which Konqueror uses to surf the Internet? (I have had Fedora Core installed before and Evolution used to work fine).

Or: which file should I edit to manual configure proxy settings?

Thank you very much.
