debian installation

can somebody help me. maybe some one could suggest to me a good site or ebook on debian installation. and also can someone help me on bootin debian coz everytime i boot is that is always use a floppy to boot.

You should install XP first. Then install Debian. This will overwrite the Windows bootloader with GRUB/Lilo. This will allow you to dual-boot.

I think jarves has XP already installed and is booting Debian via a boot floppy disk now?
 
If this is the case, is grub or lilo installed as the bootloader?
