Digital output on fortissimo 2 doesn't work....??

This is a discussion about Digital output on fortissimo 2 doesn't work....?? in the Linux Hardware category; hi, i got an mandrake 9. 0 and the sound card hercules fortissimo 2. The modules ALSA is installed (integrated with mdk 9. 0) but the digital output doesn't work. . . . Somebody could help me about this ??? thanks.

hi,

i got an mandrake 9.0 and the sound card hercules fortissimo 2.

Seems I found your answer. It would appear according to this link the digital out is automatically muted. All you should need to do is go into the alsa mixer and unmute it. Hopefully that gets you straightened out.
