Error Message

Hi just after installing mandriva on my sony vaio fs515e it has 1. 7ghz celeron, 512ram, 80gb hdd, intel gma900 15. 4 more details on spec here: i keep gettin this error message when i try to type in startx data incomplete in file /etc/X11/xorg.

i keep gettin this error message when i try to type in startx

at least one screen section is required

anyone any ideas how to fix it? urgent help required

When you installed Mandriva, did you configure the display at the hardware summary and configuration screen? Look under that section in the guide here.

Do you have the users manual?
 
Looks like there are some real issues with some Vaio laptops. Look at this article on Fedora. Additionally this one speaks to your actual video driver.
