fc2 and prelink

For some reason prelink is eating all my cpu power. Im not sure why, i've restarted and it still is taking over 80% or so of it. . . Swap: 1044216k total, 0k used, 1044216k free, 290576k cached PID USER PR NI VIRT RES SHR S %CPU %MEM TIME+ COMMAND 5428 root 39 19 30060 26m 2828 R 88.

is just a view of tops in terminal. Any idea why i'm having this problem? Had no problem with it in fc1.

I haven't played with my Core 2 much yet. Prelink isn't even showing in my Core 1 sevices, so I would think it *should* be ok to just shut it down. I had to shut mine down to run Half-Life, so I guess this works in all instances. Here's the directions I followed, and never got that error again.
