For once I love nvidia!
This is a discussion about For once I love nvidia! in the Everything Linux category; I just finished installing the new updated nvidia drivers for Mandrake 9. 1 and all I have to say is this. . . DAMN! For once in 14 times trying to get these dang things to work, this worked right off the bat.

For once in 14 times trying to get these dang things to work, this worked right off the bat.
I was playing Quake III and UT all afternoon.
It was so simple to do and all I did was remove the "nv" and replaced it with "nvidia"
Works wonderfull. Thanks so much NVIDIA for gettings something right for me that is..

Yeah, gotta love 'em
I had installed 4191, run glxgears, and got around 1800 fps. Now, with 4349, I get 2100 fps
And I'm using Mandrake 9.1 ofcourse.

I stopped having problems with the nVidia Linux drivers when I gave up trying to install the RPMs and just downloaded the source tarballs.
I just hope the nForce drivers are as easy to install...
