Gigabyte GA-K8NXP-SLI and Mandriva Powerpack 10

Hi Guys
First post in this forum.
I finally convinced someone to give Linux a try. Most are too happy with Windows to even think of anything else.
He was very impressed with Mandrake Move and the fact I could go online with it.
So he has given me the go ahead to build him a sturdy machine (I also suggested Raid 0+1 ;->)
To the point
I have been lookin at the GA-K8NXP-SLI
it seems just fine for my needs. I plan to couple this with an ATI X600 All in Wonder as he wants to do video editing as well.
This board is skt 939 so I have opted for a 3200 winchester.
The Gigabyte website have no linux drivers but nvidia do on their driver page.
Will this do.
Anyone tried linux with raid 0+1 on this board?
Any happy stories? Has anyone dual booted (XP + Mandrke) with raid 0 + 1
A lotta Qs I know but any halp will be fine
Thanx
