Gnome 2.4 on Debian unstable

Hi , I have a problem installing gnome in my debian sid for my thinkpad.
One week before I've installed gnome2.2 and I have not problem, then 3 days before I did an upgrade for 2.4 and all ok.
The problem is when today I've installed again my debian and I tried to install gnome:
apt-get install gnome
Some packages could not be installed.This may mean that you have
requested an imposible situation or if you are using the unstable distribution that some required packages have not yet been created or been moved out of Incoming.
Since you only requested a single operation it is extremely likely that the package is simple not installable and a bug report against that package should be filed.
The following information may help to resolve the situation:
The following packages have unmet dependencies:
gnome: Depends: gnucash but it is not going to be installed
E:Broken packages
Can anybody help me for install gnome in my debian unstable?

Are you by any chance running ximian red-carpet? This breaks apt-get all to hell, and results in the need for a major deletion effort of x r-c or a total re-install! Also, you may want to try Morphix-Gnome 4.0 or 4.1. It's lineage is Debian-Knoppix-Morphix, and it's apt-get works fllawlessly for me, with Gnome...
I doubt he'd be running Red Carpet as he's running Debian which has the 'real' apt and not the bastardised RPM version.
I had a similar problem when I tried installing KDE on Debian a while ago. apt-get install kde would fail citing broken packages. So much for apt's wonderful dependency resolution...

Maybe they discontinued the Debian port? However, the download is still available here: http://www-files.ximian.com/red-carpet/debian-woody-i386/
did you apt-get update first? or try the -f options like Philipp suggested.
I installed 2.4 fine here is my ../apt/sources.list if you are interested

Well 2.6 is in unstable now. And it's call unstable for a reason. If you don't like it don't use it, and if you want to use it any way, submit bug reports instead of complaining.
