Hard Drive Image Creation
This is a discussion about Hard Drive Image Creation in the Linux Software category; Am faced with a computer that has no floppy and only one optical drive (DVD burner) so I can't use my usual method of creating a hard drive image with a boot disk/floppy. What I would really like is something that works like Norton Ghost only it needs to run on SuSE 9.

What I would really like is something that works like Norton Ghost only it needs to run on SuSE 9.3. Need to make DVDs of my drive image, help please.

I have not used it for a while, but I seem to remember Ghost for Linux should do the job for you.
I'll have to download the latest version and see what improvements have been made.

excellent, thanks.
Let me know if this works for you.

Not the most user friendly, but trasfering the data to a remote server got me around the problem of the single optical drive. Downloaded and burnt the image later, like I would have any other. Be nice if they cooked up an rpm for the program, manual installs are still an ordeal for me.
