How to instal Unbutu into same HD with Win2000 pro
This is a discussion about How to instal Unbutu into same HD with Win2000 pro in the Everything Linux category; I have 250 GB hard drive and I have installed and used Windows 2000 Pro. When I installed Win 2000 pro I devided HD in 4 fifferent drives. C is 6,4 GB( Free 3,17 GB ) D is 93,1 GB( free 91,6 ) and F is 41 GB( free 39,7 ).

C is 6,4 GB( Free 3,17 GB ) D is 93,1 GB( free 91,6 ) and F is 41 GB( free 39,7 ). Now I would like to install Unbutu also, so I would have 2 different OS to use. It should be easy to choose which OS I would like to use e.g. when start comp. there would be menu to select OS, or something like that. I would be so grateful if somebody could and would help me on this.

The first thing to do is defrag your windows partitions. This will prevent any potential data loss in partitioning your free drive space.
Dual booting is common and is not hard. First look at the Unbutu wiki page on the subject, located here.
Look at the first two sections of the article.
Also look at this article which discusses the subject of dual booting with XP (which is the same as with 2000 for arguments sake).
