Lucent Modem is not working in Linux 9

hello everyone. I m a newbie to linux 9. I have succeeded installing my soundmax 4xl in Linux. Thanks to Dapper Dan. But i have got in an other shit. My lucent Lt Modem is not working in linux. neither it is visible in hardware browser.

What distro are you using? RedHat, Suse, Mandrake...?
