Hi Guys,
i have a very big problem with mandrake 9.0 !!!
It´s my first contact to Linux and i want to install it on my PC.
The problem is that i have a Raid Controler
On witch way i can install Mandrake9 and in the same way the Raid Controler ...
My System is: AMD 1800+, Harddrive 2x 40 GIGRAM, via Raid 0
The Raid Controler is a : Dawicontrol UMDA 100
My next Problem is that i only found the Chipset for that driver 8)
but i think thats OK.
and my next problem is that i dont find any way to give the installation the raid-driver on the way, so the install-programm knows my system !!!
Can here anyone help me ???
With a fine site where i found information or anyone who have the same problem.
Thanks a lot !

I don't know about Mandrake but I recall that the some versions of Red Hat allow you to load drivers off a floppy for inclusion into the installation kernel but unfortunately, not only do I not know if Mandrake offers a similar feature, I also have no clue as to just how you go about creating such a disk if it does. I'll see what I can find out but in the meantime perhaps someone whose more familiar with installing Linux onto a hardware RAID array can step in and lend a hand.
