Turn off your computer.
Reduce the screen resolution or the colour depth to free up memory, but why would you want to?

It sounds like you have a machine that uses an IGP (Integrated Graphics Processor) chipset and you should check to see if it can be upgraded with an expansion graphics card instead.
This will free up the shared memory it currently uses and speed up your gaming as the discrete GPU's tend to have much better performance characteristics then IGP's do...
