I currently have a FC4 box connected directly to my cable modem but now I would like to connect it to a router using an ethernet cable. How do I go about doing this? The router Im using is the WRT54G btw.

cable modem---->the first (primary) cat5 port on the router.

NIC card---->second port on the router.

Your user documentation should have instructions on this.

Are you going to be usng wireless at some point?

OP
Probably. But now my router is just beside my PC so I don't need wireless.

OK, this was just for later reference.

FC4 should detect the NIC right off. If not, you should be able to use system-config-network from the command line, or go to Start-->System-->Configuration-->Configure My Computer from KDE to set up the NIC, if needed.
