PCI Question
This is a discussion about PCI Question in the Slack Space category; Hi: I have an older system (AMD 5x86-133/128MB RAM) running Win NT 4. 0 SP 6a. I'd like to use the system as a file server, so I bought a PCI Wi-Fi Network Card. My problem is that the motherboard is certified to PCI 2.
Hi:
I have an older system (AMD 5x86-133/128MB RAM) running Win NT 4.0 SP 6a. I'd like to use the system as a file server, so I bought a PCI Wi-Fi Network Card. My problem is that the motherboard is certified to PCI 2.0, while the NIC says it uses PCI 2.1. What are the differences? Any chance it will work or should I forget about it? Thanks in advance for the help!
