segmentation fault

i dual boot win xp and red hat 8. 0 i get this segmentation fault when the system boots in linux and shuts down the clock is not synchronised at either way and i get the wrong time my bios clock and windows clock is alright this happened after i had to reboot the system manualy (ie the switch at the front of the box).
