After much trouble i finally managed to get the nvidia drivers running on my system. Before i could even celebrate, i discovered after a reboot that i could not load any openGL app. Not even the screensavers. I tried the solutions posted on the nvnews forums but they didnt work out. To add to all that, i can't start alot of apps like k3b with the error msg " segmentation fault" appearing everytime. Could anyone help? I'm nearly at the end of my tether.

Are you using the "6629" version of the 3d accelerator drivers? I'm having problems as well. See here...

Does anyone know when Nvidia plans to address this and come up with a new "driver?"

I've heard from several people who have had problems with the newer nvidia drivers related to glibc not haveing support for nptl. If you run one of your opengl apps from an xterm check to see if you get any output related being unable to load libGL.so.1.

Quote:Initializing SDLGLDrv...binding libGL.so.1
appError called:
Could not load OpenGL library

The problem with the Nvidia drivers results from udev in FC3. I'm certainly hoping that NVIDIA will hurry and get a new driver version out. 6629 has certainly been around for some time already.
