Accessing Linux partitions from Windows

I hate dual booting to pieces, moreso when two OSs are involved whose native filesystems can't be read by one or the other. My problem is that I need access to the ext3 partition my Slackware install is on from my Windows installation.

Port Forwarding and Static IPs?

Hey, I've just switced to Fedora Core 3 and am wondering how to set up a static IP and enable port forwarding so Azureus will run smoothly. I've already set my router to forward ports 6881-6889 to a static IP address but I don't know how to make Fedora use that IP.

ethernet adapter not working mdk 10.1

i have downloaded mdk 10 official from this site and loaded it. first boot crashed so i loaded it again. got to dos and startx. . . got to desktop etc. . . but during boot, on verbose, interface eth0 failed.

ok im 13 kinda comp. wiz on windows 98, got a spare comp. from tech guy @ school, got some ppl i know to install an OS on spare comp. either Linux or exotic OS, i got Linux (obviously y im here) and my dad downloaded some games and other programs off the net onto a cd, i got the cd on my comp.

Help with video driver

I'm a Linux newbie. I configured a Dell Latitude X300 dual-boot Fedora and XP. On XP, everything's cool. But when I boot into Linux, I can't get an external monitor to show anything at all it gets no signal.

hello I want to install linux on my computer (win98,HDD-6GB,pentium3)but it seems my CD-ROM is not functioning so I now moved the 6GB-HDD from that computer to my new computer and fomatted it. how can I install linux (mandrake I presume) on the 6GB-HDD from my new computer s.

Java programming in GNU/Linux

Fedora core 3 black screen pronblem....

Im new to linux and know basicly nothing about command promts. . when i go to install FC3 i get as far as the setup checking all my componants. . it gives a list MOUSE FOUND: PS2 blah. . . and under it SCREEN: Unknown.

Hi all of you, I installed FC3 on its own disk. Went very well. I used YUM to update after install. A slug of them were ready. No problems with that. When i reboot just before desk top i get a msg that says it couldnt find (comcastnet) and i should add it to host names and might be ok.

Problems installing Fedora 1

installation: hangs up at formatting.

hello My PC hangs up at the formatting part. I try to install SuSe 9. 2. In Base Installation, YaST displayed the Installation settings. As i have already installed windows xp in c drive, SuSE 9. 2, by default selected hda9 for swap and hda10 for /with reiser.
