Hi Guys I am looking for a LiveCD that fits onto a MiniDisc. . . I am a Linux n00b, so keep it simple. I tried DamnSmall, but it has problems with my NTFS FileSystem. That or it simply doesn't see my HDDs.

internet problem on Mandriva LE2005

I have just installed LE2005 from Mandrake 10. All went well except that I no longer able to access the internet or e-mail. I have a dial up connection that does connect to my ISP but when I launch any web browser or e-mail program I get nothing, any ideas?.

hello i am trying to write a chat program. I use a server entity to broadcast a message send by an user , to all users. What i want to do is , after someone finished typing a message and hits enter , to make that line dissappear while at the same time allowing normal behavior to the read function.

Upgrade from Mandrake 10.0 to Mandriva LE2005 (10.2) Problems

Tried to install mandriva LE2005 as an upgrade from MD10. 0 everything fine until all seems installed and we get to splash/holding screen. Just stays there thinking (hourglass turning) - stayed there all night.

Accessing IE-only sites in GNU/Linux

I've just started school in a polytechnic and the school has this e-learning web portal which is pretty important cos all lecture notes and email is posted to this site. However, this site is IE-only and I'm not GNU/Linux so obtaining IE is impossible.

What should i do if i get an error of attempt to access beyond end of device? I can only go to the grub menu then after selecting an os, the error shows up and fills the screen. .

folder can't open in FC3

i have a particular folder on a vfat partition that just won't open. don't really have any other info to provide. it opens fine in windows though. doesn't contain anything except mp3s. .

Question: In all my user manuals & help files, I can't find any reference in how to run defrag in Linux. Is this because Linux files don't get fragmented like Windows files - or what? Sorry if this is a dumb question.

Well, for once, I don't need help with a Linux problem (except my SATA RAID setup)! I just received my new Mandriva 2005LE (6 CD Set) yesterday, so removed Mandrake 10. 1 PowerPack and started with a fresh install.
