Problem in Booting FC4

Hi, New here as well as to Linux. Trying to get FC4 working for last 72hours, without much luck. I have Dell 2350 (preinstalled with WinXP), with Nvdia graphics card and 1905 LCD monitor (connected using DVI).

Mandrake Linux 10.1 GUI Problem

Hello, just got Mandrake 10. 1 Powerpack and tried to install it on my pc. My pc specs are: Asus P5GD1 motherboard 1GB Kinston pc3200 RAM (dual channel) P4 530J 3. 0Ghz socket 775 CPU MSI NX6600GT-128E video card WD 160GB SATA HD when it came to configuring the X during the installtion, I got confused.

Well, I just got linux installed on my pc. Im running windows xp pro sp2 and mandriva linux 10. 1. Im just wondering how you acually turn the computer off. In windows you click on start menu then go to turn off computer and it turns off.

Hello. I have a problem. When I run knoppix under vmware, there are no hdd mounted. What can I do? In vmware I have created a partition (3 GB) and run knoppix. Everything works fine but when booting starts it writes: PCI: Cannot allocate resource region 4 of device 0000:00:07.

Problem with dual boot

I installed unbutu on a second drive and now win xp says the drive needs to be formatted. Also when I run unbutu it doen't recognize my c drive which means I can't import or find any files on that drive.

I've been using the mouse for well. . . forever, and everything had been okay up until a few weeks ago. I'm not sure why it's happening, but it's actually a pretty annoying problem. I've no idea where the problem lies(KDE, X, kernel.

I've got a friend who wants to install GNU/Linux but his hard disk is entirely occupied by 1 NTFS partition, as it is with all default Windows installations. How can I extract space from his NTFS partition and format it in ext3 for GNU/Linux.

Update On SUSE 9.3 and SATA RAID0 Install Attempt!

Here is an update on my SUSE 9. 3 Pro installation. Seems that I had messed some things up, so I decided to do a reinstall, possibly correcting some of my mistakes. While I was at it, I thought I'd give RAID one more try.
