REDHAT9 compatible with MYSQL?

Good evening. . . We are doing a thesis this year. . . and we have this problem which is the Redhat 9 compatibility with MYSQL. . does anybody in here has a compatibility documentation between the Redhat and MYSQL.

GRUB and the list of kernels

I have grub installed and I have WinXP and Fedora installed. When I first installed Fedora, my grub loader only had 2 options, fedora, and windows. Every time i update the kernel though, it adds another option to my grub loader.

Unable To Scan With HP PSC 1401 and SUSE 10.0

I just installed a new HP PSC 1401 multifunction printer on my system. The printing is great, but SANE will not recognize the scanner. I've read and done everything I can think of, with no success. I probably won't give all the information necessary here, but this is what I've done.

blank screen with mandrake 10.0

I need some help. I just installed 10. 0 on a Acer 4560 notebook. Booted off dvd, installed off the hard drive. The install was good, not many bumps in the road. After all was done, and the system reboots, I get a boot screen where I can pick Linux or Xp.

Grub problem with Fedora core 4

When ever I try to boot in to fedora all I see when I hit F1 is GRUB _ and it stays that way Im running an AMD 2600+ a Abit NF7 mainborad a nvidia ti 4200 AGP 8x 512mb ram and 2 250GB westurn digital harddrives.

Help with Mandrake 10 please.

I am installing Mandrake Linux 10 on a computer with a formatted hard drive. I am a noob at linux. I was wondering how to do the partitions? Like I said I am a noob so if possible, step by step instructions would be great.

I have a copy of mandrake 10. 1 on hard disk how do i install if i run setup it asks files which files to specify i. e what is linux subdirectory.

Hi guys, I am a newbie to linux. I have mandrake 8. 0 power pack edition and reda hat 9. 0. Already installed with each PCs. Anyone cares to help me run the appropriate WineX (CEDEGA) for these OS? Thanks a lot.

I'm using SUSE 10. 0. I've recently started using k3b to burn ISO files. I prefer burning at 4x but k3b bumps it up to 8x. Is there any way to stop that? I like watching news videos on the web. When trying to play web videos with linux FireFox,I get a message saying I need to install directX but I can't find a work ...

Parallel Port Issue With Printer And SUSE 10.0

I'm experiencing a problem with a HP T-45 printer I've connected to the parallel port on one of my Linux computers. Here's hoping someone has a suggestion. As for history on this, I had a different parallel port printer hooked to this box with SUSE 9.

i have a problem installing mandrake 10. 1 on my pc. . . i have a msi pt880 mobo, p4 2. 4, 512mb ram, and a seagate barracuda sata hd and a maxtor ide hd. . i have windows xp service pack 2 installed on my sata hd.

Screen refresh rate

I have finally made the switch to Linux. After testing several distro's I went with Ubuntu 5. 10. I would like to find out how to increase refresh rate for the monitor. My monitor is a NEC MultiSync FE700 capable of 85 hertz.

DVD players for Mandrake 10.1

I downloaded the most recent xine library and. /configure and then typed 'make'. I am pretty much a noob to linux so I don't know what I need to do next. I am using Totem as a front end and when I play the dvd I get everything except video.

monitor problem with openSUSE

I've just installed openSUSE and discovered that there's a problem with the display. It won't display in full-screen and there are gaps on each side of the display. I'm using a Benq FP751 at 1024x768 resolution.

This is a brand new computer and I'm trying to setup Mandrake 10. 1 on it, and when it boots (CD), it's boots fine, but when i hit enter to start setup the PC reboots. .
