Dual Boot Win XP and FC5

mrnsnp
I figured out what I was doing wrong on my FC5 installation. I had to go switch around which controllers my hd's were connected to. I can now boot into Win XP normally, however when I boot up FC I get command prompt login.

I have 2 hard drives, both western digital 40 gig each. I have Win XP on drive 1 NTFS. I installed FC 5 into drive 2, I chose Fedora as the default boot. I made sure that grub was installed onto /dev/hda <- at least that's what it said during the installation.

gnome-nettool

rohin_gulati@yahoo.com
gnome-nettool shows incorrect State of the interface. The eth0 interface is up and I'm able to send and receive the packets. BUT the 'gnome-nettool-1. 4. 1' shows incorrect STATE of the interface. It shows it as 'Inactive'.

Issues with dual-booting FC5 x86_64 and XP 64x

claudem
I have currently beenm trying to install FC5 (64bit) along side my current XP 64x installation. Both are on the same HD and each have their own partition along with 2GB for swap. I initially installed FC5 over the MBR which of course killed the XP boot loader.

Yup, you guessed it... dual OS Core 5 and XP.

R.O.E.
I recently installed Fedora Core 5 on my laptop. That is the only OS I have installed. I am now attempting to install XP proffessional. When I attempt to boot from the CD though, a screen comes up and says it's getting my hardware config, then the screen goes blank, and everything.
