OK guys I know this topic has been whipped to death over the past months. I have held off on posting, opting instead to review all possible relevant threads. Unfortunately, none of them have addressed my particular problem, and I am still stuck.

ok, i plan on running a dual boot setup until i get everything working right (mainly my wireless network card), then removing windows. my question is this. . . how do i go about removing windows once i don't need it anymore?.

I installed new SATA drive in system. winXP installed on original SATA drive. Installed Fedore core 5 on second (new) SATA drive. During the install I selected to have grub installed on sda. When the system rebooted it booted winXP without ever going to grub.

I had previously posted some questions related to GRUB and a dual-hard-drive, dual-boot issue and had very helpful responses. Although my new problem may be Windows-related, I thought somebody here may have a suggestion, as it is hard to tell what is happening.

Hey people! I have recently installed Fedora 4 with dual boot with windows XP. The problem is that i can´t install my sound card which is RealTek AC97 to the Fedora core although it works perfectly fine with winodws.

Anyone got any news on removing/formatting a HD with Fedora Core3 on it? I just wanted to test the thing out, very impressed with it aside from having to get vid/mp3 software separately. . ah well, thx.
FC5 / WinXP DualBoot 2HDs Grub won't load

I am very new to Linux, so I installed a clean FC5 onto a separate HD than my Windows XP drive. In FC5, the package manager says grub is installed, but I still have to switch the HDs in the BIOS to determine which OS to use, there is no Grub prompt of any kind.

I currently have 2 drives, primary has XP, slave has FC. . . Ihave GRUB installed on the primary (xp) drive MBR. Now, i want to move FC drive to another PC which has a primary drive running on XP. What should i do on the new PC which i going to add in the new PC's primary drive? Grub ? Thanks.

Hello everybody I am trying to get this working but can not. I have a laptop with Windows Xp and installed FC5 on a USB HD to dual boot, when it restarted nothing happened it whent straight to windows,so tried to install it again but now all I get is GRUB Hard Disk Error can not use Windows nor FC5.

So I'm at a loss. I've read through the posts, tried a couple things suggested. . . and now nothing boots. I've got a homebrew desktop, not a Dell or Compaq or any of that. Dunno what the motherboard is, but here's some of the specs: Pentium III, 866 MHz Pri.
