1. When clicking on a link for a FAQ have the link jump to the FAQ question? 2. Provide Mod's (or anytone really) the ability to edit the FAQ. I'm guessing a seperate page would have to be provided for the FAQ for this ability.
Main page problem
Alien
Having left an IE window open @ NTC, as I normally do, obviously the news would have gone out of date & there would be more news since I checked last. So I refreshed the page & put a word from what was the latest story before I refreshed the window into the find box to save me having to scroll down.
Leave the frontpage for what it's supposed to be? News?
DosFreak
These constant programs showed on the frontpage are annoying. As far as I know NTCompatible is not a file-news forum. It's NTCompatible. We should leave file-news for those websites that are devoted to it.
Awesome New Look!

Yes I know it has been said before. But the more it is said the better heard. I love the new look of NTCompatible. Good job guys. And best of all it runs on Apache Here is what says: Quote:The site is running Apache/1.

I just upgraded the forum software to phpBB2 This update was necessary because of a feature which is only available in phpBB2. Please let me know if there are any issues/problems. Thanks. .
The shared users thing is cool, but...
CUViper
The shared users thing is cool, but it causes some issues with the last visited functionality. Apparantly, the last visited entry is also shared between sites. For instance, when I go to NTC and click on view posts since last visit, it shows me the posts since the last time I visited either NTC or the new LC site.

ViMan
The link on the web site for Knoppix 3. 1 does not work ( ) because you forgot an l at the at the end of the URL. It should be.

Hi again, does the board software allow uploads (up to 256 KBytes) so we can upload pictures and screenshots w/o owning webspace? That would be cool, cos we can make a My Desktop thread (and of course, the usual flaming my theme is better than yours, lol).

8) And now, get your favorite Linux distro and submit some results to the new compatibility database. You can use your username/password from NT Compatible on Linux Compatible to login. .

Just an idea for sigs
Mr.Guvernment
Heyall well, i know i am not really one to talk, but i use the tags in my sig to make it somewhat smaller. . . . i was thinking perhaps make it a rule that people need to use the or 2, tag or something, and make their specs go left to right, instead of upand down to trim down on the size? Just an idea.

Who is allowed to post news?
DosFreak
Anyone? Also. . . how about customizing the front page for how you want to view it? For instance if I only wanted NT news then I could set the option, the cookie would be detected by the site and I would only ever see NT news.
Updated SB Live! and SB Audigy drivers and tools
Alien
According to the Audigy NG on CL's news server they are not new, they are the same as the drivers from Compaq. .

Member's forum?
DosFreak
How about a forum that X+ years and X+ amount of posts are required to enter? Just a little something for those of us who have been around pretty much from the beginning, would have a little bit more intelligent discussion and quicker/more informative responses to techie questions.
compatibility results not on one page any more
michaeljbrooks
I had not used the NT Compatible game compatibility pages for a few months until today. Formerly all the results for each game starting with one alphabet letter displayed on one Web page regardless of number of entries, which made it fast and easy for printing and scrolling.
