Trouble burning second Mandrake 10 iso disk

Ok, i had no trouble burning the iso for the first disk but soon as I went to open the second iso I got the following message in nero express : Foreign Image File The entered block size does not correspond to the image length.

Installing Mandrake v10 Linux

Hey, I currently have Windows XP Pro but I want to install Mandrake Linux version 10 on my second hard drive which is FAT32. I'm using the floppy disk to help me boot the install. But, when i get to the install and it asks me to pick a cd drive, i put my primary and it says that the Mandrake cd is not inside.

Just had some interesting things happen with my USB stick. I've been playing around with the new Kanotix with the 2. 6 kernel which, like most Knoppix based live CD's, will let you create a persistent home directory somewhere so your configuration files will be saved.

Ok, I've come to grips w/ the GRUB config,,, I put XP back up on C: and allowed GRUB to load to the MBR (for my Debian on the slave) thus, if I blow (umm, when) my debian install, fdisk /MBR will give me a working XP.

Hi, I've loaded Debain to my slave w/ Grub to its boot record. Is there a 'simple' entry for my boot. ini (xp on master primary) that will redirect the boot loader to grub (i. e. load debian)??? ~tia.

redhat9 installation terminated abnormally

i was trying to install redhat9 in F partition of my harddisk. during installation process ,firstly progress was almost negligable,so i restarted the whole process. then when i restarted ,installing process continued until copying files to harddrives,then suddenly installation got abnormally terminated.

Fedora is faster than RH 8 or 9!

I just installed Fedora on my Mom's computer, which with RH 8 was always very sluggish. With Fedora, it's not just faster than her old RH8, but seems even faster than my hot rod RH 9 box! If my impressions of this change, I'll let you know.

Hi! Just a quick question. . . is it possible to install 2 releases of RH in one PC? and both are using the same boot loader? I tried doing this and it seems to be impossible. Maybe there is a restriction I failed to read or there might be a work around on this one.

My situation: I have one empty harddrive. I want to have there two OSes - win2000 and MDK9. 1. Which is the most safely way to do that. I have bad experience from past that I had installed windows and then I installed linux the windows corrupted.

I upgraded from RH9 to Fedora over the weekend, and was pleased to see many unresolvable issues with RH 9 have been addressed and corrected. I was however disappointed that Galeon was not included in the release, and apt-get demanded it's deletion, otherwise it would recognize it as a broken package.

Loader problem

I updated Red Hat 9. 0 to Fedora Core 1 and select the choice to update from LILO to GRUB. Unfortunately I forgot that RH 9 booted from floppy and files in FC boot don't fit into a floppy. Now in the boot machine seems to want to use LILO, because first in black screen comes only text LI and then it hangs.
