Does anybody get the following error when trying to do an apt-get upgrade in Knoppix 3. 7 or any debian distro? I'm trying to install some apps and it won't let install any because I keep getting this same error when it tries to upgrade Fozen Bubble.

I thought there was a separate box version for Linux Q3A, but is there a simple executable that can be used to convert between the two? I would like to run Q3A under Linux without emulation to see how it runs, and in the process evaluate whether or not I get rid of Windows on my primary box.

Yes yet another newbie. Today was the last straw with windows so I've decided to go linux. I know this may be subject to a little bias but what are your suggestions on what version is best for gaming without being too complicated (right now I have a few people telling be about Debian and a couple for Mandrake).

I just tried installing Vice City today with wine 20041019 and the loki installer. I couldnt start a new game as an error msg would pop up everytime i tried that so i got a saved game frm the net and it worked out.

Call of Duty installed successfull wiht the loki installer but it says Winex not in your path and the readme says to do this I have Cedega (winex 4. 0) installed and get allways the message: Wine(X) not in your PATH 1.

Yesterday I finally got tired of my Yoper linux distro, and dumped it in favor of SuSE 8. 2 Pro - which was my first boxed distro. I upgraded to KDE 3. 3, and got it all set up like I like it. Next was my games.

ok like im makn a map in starcraft an its all screwed over. Its sayn every time i try to test a map it says IMMEDIETLY that i either won or lost. it sux. .

i try to run sc under wine but i have a problem. when i login as a root starcraft runs properly but there is no response from my keyboard and mouse and then my system crash. I have Red Hat 9. 0 and wine 05.

hey everyone. i need some help and advice on something. i have winex 3. 3 i think the version is anyways its installed and it installs games just fine. i have one problem. . . . . . when i run winex3 for call of duty the install runs and it starts to install the first disk.
