Suse 10 sound need help

Hello, I just installed Suse 10 on my computer. Everything works fine except the sound. I have P5GD1 motherboard with Realtek High Definition Audio onboard, and i tried installing the realtek driver from the Realtek website, but could not get it to work.

I just bought an MSI Neo V motherboard yesterday to replace my spoilt one and fixed it in just now. When i plugged in the power cable and switched on my com, the com powers up for bout 1 second before powering down again almost immediately.

feroda core 1- monitor compatability problem?

I really donit know what the prob is but i tried to do a dual booting with win2k prof and fedora core1. Now win is booting fine but linux is booting up to the point were is say 'first boot'or some thing like that,then the screen goes blank.

trouble getting NIC working...

I've installed FC4 on an older machine but I can't seem to get ethernet card to work. It's a 3Com Etherlink III 3c509B. I've seen several sites that say it works. . . but none that really explain how to do it.

I am relatively new to Linux and would like to install it on my laptop, which I use to make music. I am having problems installing Fedora Core 4 in graphical mode. I inserted install disc 1 and proceeded to load the graphical installation mode.

Dell 9200 Laptop, Fedora Core 4, ipw2200 and sound problems

This is a problem that I have not been able to figure out on my own so far. I ran Fedora Core 3 on this 9200 laptop previously, and could not get the internal wifi NIC to work. I thought I would have better luck in FC4, but instead I still can't get the internal wifi NIC to work AND I have lost sound as well.

Ok. . . i installed ndiswrapper 1. 0rc2 (yes it is a beta). . . . and i was following the directions as posted here the other day from another forum. . . . Know that the instructions were for mandrake and I use SuSE 9.

Hai I just purchased a new umax webacm(astrapix pc102). How do i install it on my linux system-Fedora (core4). The Cd that shipped with the cam doesn't have drivers for linux and the site isn't helpful either.

I'm getting a new system soon and I'm considering between getting an AMD Athlon 64 or an Intel Pentium 4. What pratical benefits does using a 64-bit processor have? Anyone here who is using a 64-bit processor? I'll be using GNU/Linux on that system btw.

Hi I've been searching around the web trying to find anybody who could verify that this controller would work with ClarkConnect. Has anybody tried it, maybe with another distro? It's a hardware assisted SATA RAID5 controller at a resonable price.

new motherboard for AMD Athlon XP 1800++

My trusted old AMD Athlon XP 1800++ system recently gave out on me. The processor is still good though, so I'm looking for a new motherboard that is compatible with my processor. Not much luck so far since all AMD processors are 64-bit and my old Athlon is 32-bit.
