Do you know if the dvdram-gsa-4040B from Lg is compatible for Linux (mandrake for exemple) I see in this forum of lg are a lot of problems with linux. . . It's true? Thanks ps: sorry for my bad english but i com from Belgium.

Hi, I have a PC running Mandrake 10. 0 Community with kernel 2. 6. 3-4mdk, with a TV/FM card e SB Live 5. 1. Everything is running perfect, for apps like xine and xmms, but there no sound for TV and radio apps (xawtv e gnomeradio).

So I have a dual boot set up right now. A small partition set up for Linux (mandrake 10. 0) and the rest for windows (on one hard drive). I just wanted to test out linux and now I'm set to switch completely over.

Hi all! I'm totally new with linux. So I was trying to install Ubuntu to my computer. It went just fine until just before finnish it started complaining about my graphic driver(maybe??). It said : Fatal server error: no screens found! I tried to find any kind of help but couldn't manage.

Hi, I have a Computone Intelliport II running on a RH9 server and I'm thinking on upgrading it to FC4. . . does anyone have a FC4 with a Computone board working ??? (I've spent a few days to make it work on RH9, so I'm kinda skeptic on this upgrade) thanks in advance! andres.

Hi my laptop has a ati radeon 9700 128mb mobilty card in it how and where do i get and install drivers for the card ? im useing redhat fedora core and have a 64bit cpu if this helps ive been to the ati site and followed what it said but no luck.

SUSE 10.0, problems installing soundcard from scratch

Hi, I'm running SUSE 10. 0 on an old Pentium III (coppermine) computer (Dell Dimension 4100). I don't know what the mobo is (don't know if it's important). I have a SoundBlaster PCI128. The soundcard was recognized when I first installed SUSE; however, I somehow ended up deleting the soundcard from YaST.

Changed Monitors cant get GUI to load.

After Installing Fedora Core 4 and then Moving it to my KVM switch it now says Cannot Display This Video Mode. Ive tried ctrl+alt+backspace, the message will just return. I am trying to boot the machine where it will only give me a command prompt and not go into the gui, but havent managed that yet.

Hi 🙂 I am using Internet with the cable. My modem is a CNet ref: DP1112XB2A I need to use it with the USB interface since I don't have an ethernet card. Is there a way I can do that ? I'm new on linux.

I installed suse 10 today after getting frustrated with FC4 wifi issues and everything went smoothly and a lot of the devices worked right off the bat. The Modem while it was found still doesn't seem to work.

Im having problems installed red hat 9 on my pc. The problem is that I only have sata disks installed in the system and the installer can't see them. Does anyone have an idea on which driver might work or if there is a driver available for download anywhere? Thanks.
