I use Sco Openserver with VisionFS for one of my servers at work and this has the ability to make the server appear in every workgroup on the network. This is great for odd shared files that users want to browse, as it means the server is always in your workgroup.

If you are having some issues with this, you should check out this utility then: It's a very nice front end for smbmnt/smbmount/smbumount and is fairly intuitive. Just make sure that you have all the needed packages first, as explained on the site.

If you have needed a way to get into Terminal Server sessions (Citrix, NT Terminal Server, Win2K Terminal Services, WinXP Remote Desktop) from Linux then this is the way to go. It works rather well, and is *very* fast to load up.
