Windows Media Player 7 - Rock Is Dead

Is it just me or are SRS WOW effects completley useless with heavy rock music, When i turn the effects on with a lot of songs such as Metallica Whiskey in the Jar or KoRn Got the Life the sound goes too bad to listen yoo, even the normal equalizer seems to cause a lot of distortion and poor sound quality sometimes.

help with dual boot loader

i had win98 and win2k dual booting ok, the i installed WinME beta 2149 over win98, still dual boot worked ok. whilst in winME beta i formatted the drive that Win2Kpro was on, (that was real stupid) i restarted the computer and the dual boot menu was still their so i booted into dos and tried to re-install win2kpro ...

Win 2k Service Packs

Ok. . I hope this hasnt been covered already. . . but. . . When the Service packs for 2000 come out, are they going to require you to be logged on in order for them to install. (similar to how Internet Explorer works now).

"Love" Worm alert!

My friend got infected with with a worm and it was nice enough to send itself to me. It's a dead giveaway to people who are used to these things (vbs file, odd message body, etc) but some people may not recognize it.

Win2k not allowing me in!!!

Windows 2000 version 2195free I think isn't letting me in. Windows will bootup but then when the user log in screen pops up and I log in it pops up a screen saying The system connot log on now because the doman is not available.

My friend has moved the mydocuments folder into the recycle bin and deleted it off the desktop. Now everytime he drags it back to the desktop it only stays for a little while then just leaves. I don't get it he do'nt get it.

I wuz doing some benchmarkz on my computer with 3dmork 2000 and I noticed that when I accidentaly burshed my cumpter that my score went up!!!! I have dun this benchmark many many times and I have even used the Quaker thre benchmarkx.

Has anyone seen a case like the g3 apple macintosh case in that it opens up from the side and lays down for easy installment of parts??? i like those cases. Athalon 500 196mb Ram 3D prophet ddr-dvi geforce SB Live! sound card.

I would like to know what you guys think on this topic, THis is my 2 cents. I feel microsoft shouldn't be broken up, in fact i don't think they have really done anything wrong. It isn't illegal to have a monopoly it's just illegal to use your monopolistic powers to drive away competition.

Restoring Audio Cd Player

Originally when i installed Win2k Pro (clean install), every time i popped an audio cd into either of my cdrom drives, Windows Cd Player would automatically open and begin playing the cd. Recently, this feature has stopped working.
