I have an interesting problem with Windows Whistler. Build 21xx (I think it was 2130, can't remember the number exactly)and 2250 (the only builds I've tried) do exactly the same thing while installing.

Ok, i'm on the road alot doing Networking and i have to have some way to check my mail as well as have something to play with, so i'm thinking about buying a Compaq Presario 1200 series notebook. Celeron 566 32mb ram (buying an extra 64mb) 5gb hard drive 12.

What would cause explorer. exe not to be running in the background on a w98 machine when you hit ctrl-alt-del just after its been rebooted ?.

Read a Mac-burned CD on a PC?

Is it possible for a CD burned on a Macintosh (burner make/model unknown) to be read in a PC CD-ROM drive? The files burned to disc will be JPEG's. .

for those complaining, where's SP1?? especially that 9:35 PM in Redmond post, you can stop complaining, cause it wasn't even planned to be out on Monday, MS internal (aka. my MS friend) tells me that SP1 wasn't even 100 % planned for Monday or Tuesday, don't expect it out until mid to late this week, probably Thurs ...

Mmtask run error on Win98

I use Win98 and it appears Mmtask run error when I boot system sometimes. Has anyone tell me what's going on about my computer wrong? Hoe can I solve it?.

fighters.net and ntcompatible.com same IP?

Why do and have the same IP? I have some friends who cannot access NT Compatible because of this. . . they get an error. If they enter the IP as the site, it pulls up the fighters one, and not NT compatible.

What service could be causing my USRobotics ext Courier modem to dial up on it's own? There seems to be no pattern to it. There are no apps running. I am networked from my w2k machine to another 98 machine in my home.
