The apps pre-installed are configured to talk to :0 (IPv6 for the console) via QuickTime 5, instead of an X screen driver or StdOut.
Even if you block IPv6, once you connect to a network ALL of the apps (even a Konsole window) won't open. You can't shut down Slackware 15.0 rc3 from the menu or a three-finger salute. If you already have a Konsole window open you can do a shutdown...or you can finger the power button.
I was a HUGE fan of Slackware but this is a deal breaker
