Phoronix published a 16-way graphics card comparison on open-source Linux

To get October off to a good start, in this article are benchmark results of sixteen Intel HD, AMD Radeon, and NVIDIA GeForce graphics processors all being tested from the latest open-source Linux graphics driver stack. The test setup is powered by the Linux 3.12 development kernel and the Mesa 9.3.0-devel OpenGL drivers.

The test system used for this 16-way open-source Linux graphics testing was based around the Intel Core i7 4770K "Haswell" system with ECS Z87H3-A2X EXTREME motherboard. The software stack remained the same during all of the benchmarking and was with Ubuntu 13.04 while upgrading to Linux 3.12-rc1, Mesa 9.3.0-devel, and other updated packages from the Oibaf PPA. This testing builds upon last month's 11-Way Radeon Linux comparison and 4-Way Nouveau comparison while showing all of the results side-by-side and adding in the HD Graphics 4600 found on the i7-4770K. See the two aforelinked articles for specific details about the current open-source state of the Radeon and Nouveau drivers.
