Following the initial release of Linux Mint 16 with default desktops Cinnamon and MATE comes Linux Mint 16 KDE

This release features all the same great improvements found in Mint 16 Cinnamon and MATE with the addition of KDE 4.11. In other Mint news, Clement Lefebvre also announced the release of their Xfce edition as well. Linux Mint 16 "Petra" KDE released Mint 16 KDE, announced today, features all the same improvements discussed last month with 16's initial release. If you recall, these include removing extraneous steps in boot and login steps, MDM no longers monitors for network logins, Update Manager waits to load upon login, speed and efficiency improvements in Software Manager, and improved live image performance. Others are better EFI support, artwork improvements, and a new USB stick formatting tool.
