GloriousEggroll is preparing a new Nobara Linux release based on Fedora Linux 40. Users who are currently running Nobara Linux 39 can already upgrade to the new version. 

To upgrade an existing installation of Nobara Linux 39 to the new Nobara Linux 40 release, open a terminal and run:

nobara-sync cli
sudo dnf system-upgrade download --releasever=40
sudo dnf system-upgrade reboot

The Nobara Project is a modified version of Fedora Linux with user-friendly fixes to improve gaming, streaming, and content creation experiences. The project is not considered to be a Fedora spin; rather, it is an independent endeavor that makes use of Fedora packages, code, and repositories. The project's objective is to make the experience more user-friendly for new users by making it more point-and-click oriented.
